What a real-time interview copilot is

It is an app that runs on your computer or phone while you take a video or phone interview. It captures the interviewer’s audio, transcribes it, detects the questions and shows a suggested answer, often based on your CV and the job post. Several also read the screen to propose code in technical rounds.

All eight vendors in this comparison say on their sites that their app does not show, or can be hidden, when you share your screen. These are each company’s marketing claims; we found no published independent tests that confirm or refute them.

Final Round AI (Interview Copilot)

According to its site, Interview Copilot “hears the question, matches it against your Goal, and writes an answer you can say out loud”, on your display only. It runs in a desktop app for macOS 14.4+ and Windows, and lists Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, CoderPad, HackerRank, CodeSignal, HireVue and other platforms. It says it supports 143 locales across 76 languages; Spanish, Portuguese and French are on its list.

The free plan is for setting up goals and materials; live sessions need Pro, from US$25 a month, and the page says there is “no free trial”. Its pricing page uses the headlines “100% invisible” and “100% undetectable”; its FAQ says Stealth Mode is “designed to” keep its windows out of screen shares and recordings and that “real-world setups can vary”.

LockedIn AI

It describes itself as interview help that “provides real-time answers, code solutions, and live coaching”. Besides the interview copilot it has a phone-interview copilot, an online-assessment helper and LockedIn Duo, which the site describes as remote human assistance. There is a desktop app and a mobile app.

Its plans are called Unlimited, Credits and Lifetime; credits are used per minute and “never expire”. The pricing page showed no amounts when we checked. On languages, the site gives several counts (42, 45+, 50+ and 99+) and mentions an English + Spanish bilingual mode. On visibility, it says the app “runs invisibly” and is “visible only to you”.

Verve AI

Its copilot is “a real-time AI assistant that listens during actual interviews”, with live transcription in 55+ languages; Spanish, Portuguese and French appear in the list on its site. It works on Mac, Windows, browser and mobile, with Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and Webex.

The free plan includes 3 copilot sessions of 15 minutes a month and 5 mock interviews. Standard costs US$44.99 a month (US$39.99 quarterly, US$16.99 a month yearly) and Pro US$84.99 a month (US$59.99 quarterly, US$34.99 a month yearly). Verve says its desktop app “stays undetectable during screen sharing”; that feature is desktop-only.

Sensei AI

It promises “instant answers to any question during live interviews”, with speech recognition under one second and answers tailored to your resume. It says it integrates with “almost all video conferencing platforms”, including Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Meet, and offers “30+ languages” without listing them.

The free plan gives 15-minute copilot sessions. Pro costs US$89 a month, or US$24 a month billed yearly, with unlimited sessions and a coding copilot. Its site says it is “fully undetectable and unnoticeable by interviewers”.

Parakeet AI

Its “Auto Answer” feature detects questions live and suggests answers using your CV. It runs on Windows, macOS, desktop Chrome and mobile web on iOS and Android, and its site says it also works for calls and “online exams”. It supports 50+ languages; the full list is inside the app.

For free you get a 10-minute session and your first mock interview. Unlimited costs US$149.90 a month or US$599.90 a year, and credit packs start at US$38 (half a credit covers 30 minutes). It claims to be “completely undetectable” and “completely invisible to others” when you share your screen; its FAQ says it is built “for conversations where AI assistance is permitted” and asks users to check the rules first.

Interview Coder

A desktop app for Windows and Mac that gives “real-time assistance with coding questions” in technical interviews. The download is free, but AI features need a subscription: US$299 a month with 1,000 credits, or US$799 one-off for lifetime access.

Its site claims to be “100% Invisible to Screen-Recording”. According to TechCrunch (April 2025), Interview Coder was the original tool of Cluely’s founders, and Columbia University suspended one of them after the case.

Cluely

Today it presents itself as a meeting assistant that “listens in real time” and gives answers, notes and next steps during the call. It has a desktop app for macOS and Windows and an iOS app, and says it supports 12+ languages, including Spanish.

The Starter plan is free with limited responses, Pro is US$19.99 a month and Pro + Undetectability US$149.99 a month. According to its pricing page, only that last plan is “completely hidden to meeting screen sharing software”. In April 2025 TechCrunch described Cluely as a tool to “cheat on everything”, job interviews included.

Interview Sidekick

During the interview it “listens to each question and feeds you a suggested, personalized answer on your screen within seconds”, and it has a code mode for technical rounds. It runs in a desktop app for macOS and Windows and in Chrome on computer and phone. It supports 31 languages, including Spanish, French and Brazilian Portuguese.

The free plan includes a 2-minute test of the live assistant. Ultimate has a list price of US$160 a month, which the site cuts to US$80 with the code SAVE50. It claims to be “100% Invisible on Screen Share” and “tested undetectable” on Zoom, Teams, Meet and Webex.

What employers and platforms have said

These are public statements and measures we could trace to a source. Each is attributed to whoever published it.

  • Amazon: according to Business Insider, cited by ITPro (March 2025), its candidate guidelines ask applicants not to use GenAI tools during interviews unless explicitly permitted, and warn that failing to comply “may result in disqualification”. TechCrunch (April 2025) reported that Amazon asks candidates to acknowledge they won’t use unauthorized tools.
  • Google: CNBC (March 2025) reported that Sundar Pichai suggested at a February 2025 internal town hall that some interviews be held in person. According to Axios (August 2025), Pichai said on Lex Fridman’s podcast that Google will “introduce at least one round of in-person interviews”.
  • Google, in the other direction: according to Business Insider, cited by Moneywise (May 2026), Google is piloting a software engineering interview in which candidates may use an approved AI assistant, Gemini, in a code comprehension round.
  • Google, Cisco and McKinsey: Axios (August 2025), citing The Wall Street Journal, reported that all three brought back face-to-face interviews for some part of hiring.
  • McKinsey: according to Fortune (January 2026), its careers page says AI use “during assessments and for generating interview responses” is not permitted.
  • Anthropic: its candidate guidance says live interviews are “no AI assistance unless we indicate otherwise”, and that you can use Claude beforehand to research the company and practise your answers.
  • HackerRank: its Desktop App Mode documentation says it blocks other applications during a test, “including tools such as Cluely”, and prevents screen sharing. It is part of the AI Add-on and requires Proctor Mode.
  • Gartner: according to HR Dive (August 2025), 6% of about 3,000 surveyed candidates said they had taken part in interview fraud, and Gartner predicts that by 2028 one in four candidate profiles worldwide could be fake.

Live copilot or practice beforehand: the difference

A real-time copilot works during the real interview: it listens to the call and suggests what to say as it happens. A mock-interview tool works before: you answer an AI interviewer on your own, out loud, and then review how you did.

Entrevia is the second kind. You upload your CV and paste the job post, an AI interviewer asks you questions out loud about your real experience, and at the end you get a debrief with a score for each answer. It works in Spanish, English, Portuguese and French. There is one 7-turn web demo per person with no sign-up, and a free account includes 2 full interviews. Premium is US$11.99 a month, US$29.99 for 3 months or US$59.99 a year, in the iOS app.

Frequently asked questions

What is an AI interview copilot?
An app that listens to a live interview, transcribes the questions and shows suggested answers or code on your screen while the interview is happening. Final Round AI, LockedIn AI, Verve AI, Sensei AI, Parakeet AI, Interview Coder, Cluely and Interview Sidekick describe themselves this way.
Is Final Round AI detectable?
Final Round AI says its Stealth Mode is on by default and “designed to” keep its windows out of screen shares and recordings in Zoom, Meet and Teams, and that “real-world setups can vary”. That is the vendor’s claim. Separately, HackerRank documents a desktop mode that blocks other applications during its tests.
Are there free AI interview copilots?
Several have a limited free tier: Verve AI (3 sessions of 15 min a month), Sensei AI (15-min sessions), Parakeet AI (one 10-min session), Interview Sidekick (2-min test) and Cluely (limited responses). On Final Round AI the free plan does not include live sessions. As of 19 October 2026.
Which ones work in Spanish?
Final Round AI, Verve AI, Cluely and Interview Sidekick include Spanish in their language lists, and LockedIn AI mentions an English + Spanish bilingual mode. Final Round AI, Verve AI and Interview Sidekick also list Portuguese and French.
How much does an interview copilot cost?
Per their pricing pages: Final Round AI Pro from US$25/month; Verve AI from US$16.99/month billed yearly; Sensei AI Pro US$89/month or US$24/month yearly; Cluely Pro US$19.99/month (US$149.99 with Undetectability); Parakeet AI US$149.90/month; Interview Sidekick US$80/month with a code; Interview Coder US$299/month.
Do employers allow AI during interviews?
It depends on the employer. Amazon’s guidelines, as reported by Business Insider, ask candidates not to use it unless explicitly permitted; Anthropic does not allow it in live interviews unless it says so; McKinsey does not allow it for generating answers, per Fortune. Google is piloting a 2026 technical round where Gemini is allowed.
How is Entrevia different from a real-time copilot?
Entrevia is used before the interview, not during the call: you practise out loud with an AI interviewer built from your CV and the job post, then get a scored debrief. It works in Spanish, English, Portuguese and French, with a free 7-turn web demo and no sign-up.
When were these facts checked?
On 19 October 2026, on each vendor’s own website. Copilot prices change often, so confirm them before you pay.
